Online Poker in Las Vegas and Nevada in February

November 16th, 2011

Online Poker Nevada

Great news coming out of Nevada yesterday.  The Nevada Gaming Control Board has confirmed that Nevada will begin licensing online poker starting in February of 2012.  While the online poker legislation will be intrastate only, Nevada has prepared the legislation to work with any federal legalization of online poker and online gambling.

The legislation for online poker in Nevada may have come to pass because of an economic down turn in the state of Nevada and possibly because Senator Jon Kyl may have relaxed his views about the topic.  One company that had already expressed interest a few months ago is 888 poker, an online gambling corporation based in the UK.  Other poker brand names that may jump on this opportunity are Party Casino with the WPT as well as other big named online poker brands.

There are hotels everywhere in Las Vegas, and finding the right one for your trip can make the difference between an enjoyable one and a miserable one.  There are always different promotions being offered, especially at the larger ones, and it can be hard keeping track of which one is offering what.  If you are going for a special occasion, like a bachelor/bachelorette weekend or an anniversary, then it may be in your best interest to stay at one of the nicer hotels that have an attached casino.

These types of places often offer compensation on the rooms and show tickets, as well as meals and beverages, based on the amount of time (and money) you spend in their casino.  To get the best possible deal, book your trip well in advance, and do some research on the activities that are taking place near the casino so you can take advantage of walking versus having to take a taxi to different places.  Many of the best eateries in the Las Vegas areas are buffets.

Not only will you get the best price at these Vegas Paradise locations, but the all-you-can-eat part has its benefits too.  These aren’t your typical cafeteria-style restaurants either; many of them have specials, like seafood and steak that rival any of the higher-end restaurants, and for a fraction of the cost!

Vegas Not Just for Grown Ups

Vegas Not Just for Grown Ups

It’s a proven fact that thousands of people flock to the desert every month to take advantage of the casinos and to try their luck at winning it big, but few people realize what a great place it can be for family vacations. While the gambling is not suited for children, many casinos offer shows and attractions suited for families and children of all ages. There are many different restaurant options as well, and the buffets are perfect for those with picky eaters; chicken fingers and French fries are a staple in nearly all of them. There is even an indoor theme park complete with roller coaster at one of the casinos. Many hotels offer babysitting services as well, allowing the parents to enjoy a night out to themselves for dinner and a show or even at the casino.
