Insider’s Secret to Comps in Las Vegas

We are often asked about revealing secrets on how to get comp’d in Las Vegas Casinos and Hotels for things like dinners, hotel stays and even concerts. The one that we are willing to share with you here today can get you fully comp’d and can also get you deals all depending on how you play it.

Harrah’s is a world famous Hotel and Casino and they have several located throughout the United States and abroad. What you will want to do is sign up for their Total Rewards program. Over the past 5 years, I have never paid for a hotel stay at Harrah’s and I have not once had to pay for a meal. The Total Rewards program gives you points for playing in the casino on virtually every single game from slots to table games. Harrah’s will also run double points days and even release coupons through the mail that will give you bonus deals on reward points.

Now, the reward points are great for buying meals and merchandise, but the real deals come to you through the website or you can also have them mailed to you. About every month, after playing in at least one of their casinos, you will start to receive coupons for free cash, free hotel stays and even free tickets to shows at Harrah’s. The one that I take advantage of most, being a Platinum Total Rewards member, are the all inclusive free trips to Vegas. That includes airfare. Then I will also occasionally get some that give discounts on packages. It may be determined randomly, but many of the deals are based on the level of membership that you have obtained. The program is nothing new, as most casinos have reward programs, but Harrah’s is consistent with their program.

As a platinum member I also get improved parking when at the hotel and casino. So, there’s really nothing to lose by signing up and it is one of the best comp systems around. So, best of luck and have fun at the casino!

Are Online Casinos Impeding Las Vegas Gambling?

Saturday, April 2nd, 2011

online casino gamblingWhen the internet came along, it brought gamblers a whole new way to bet their money. Now, as online gambling becomes more popular it is starting to have an effect on other forms of gambling. In a recent study it was found that the amount of money and time spent gambling in Las Vegas has dropped.

The reason for the decrease seems to correlate to the rise in online gambling availability and popularity. The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority completed the study and is an agency that works towards promoting tourism. The results of the study found that the average amount spent on gambling has dropped by twenty dollars.

While the popularity of online casinos may have put a damper on the gambling profit, other areas have not been affected. In many cases the amount of money spent on hotel accommodations, shopping and the famous Las Vegas entertainment have increased.
